Namaste everyone!! I am Nabin Chamlagain from Belbari, Morang an Eastern part of Nepal. I grew up and spend most of my childhood in a typical village area with my family. Growing through village life, i was a kind of shy and silent type of person in general. I love cooking whenever I am free and also love to play football. I do help mom in the kitchen too. Accustomed to being around primary adults, I was always mature for my age. Even my own friends often annoyed me during my adolescent years. I did well in school, often knowing how to do complex math problems before the concept had even been introduced to our class. For my higher study, I choose a hospitality course at Bright Future College at Salakpur Morang. Sharing about my high school experience I began to tire of the pressure placed on me by my family and their higher expectation. I gradually stopped my extracurricular activities, including playing football, hanging out with friends, and start focusing on study, and I have ...

FAB Story - Monika Ranabhat

It was a great pleasure to meet such disciplined and motivated circle of people at Fab school, Pokhara. Their warm hospitality was absolutely breathtaking. I feel grateful for allowing me the opportunity to share my experience as a social activist in front of such enthusiastic students. Their energy, discipline, hunger for the knowledge and eagerness to learn amazed me. I often feel as if I learn more than the participants do. The peaceful environment, friendly and kind behavior of the students and the staffs of the school was the thing which fascinated me the most. I truly appreciate the invaluable experience I had at Fab school Pokhara.  Monika Ranabhat Province coordinator  Nepal Youth Counsil

The Kite without a thread

Once a father and son went to the kite flying festival. The young son became very happy seeing the sky filled with colorful kites. He too asked his father to get him a kite and a thread with a roller so he can fly a kite too. So, the father went to the shop at the park where the festival was being held. He purchased kites and a roll of thread for his son. His son started to fly a kite.  Soon, his kite reached high up in the sky.  After a while, the son said, “Father, It seems that the thread is holding up a kite from flying higher, If we break it, It will be free and will go flying even higher.  Can we break it?”  So, the father cut the thread from a roller.  The kite started to go a little higher.  That made a son very happy. But then, slowly,  the kite started to come down. And, soon it fell down on the terrace of the unknown building. The young son was surprised  to see  this. He had cut the kite loose of its thread so it can fly ...
