GATE Vocational FAB School Pokhara

Excellent college with dedicated and aspiring people in a  beautiful location at the corner of city in a walking distance. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the friendly reception staff, our contact person Mr. Karki, and the enthusiastic students with openness, creativity and willingness to learn. At the first visit i was thrilled by the warm hospitality from the staffs and students. I am deeply touched with the innovative practises and the life enriching practical education that the school is offering. Initially planned for a single visit but couldn't stop myself from going there the second time. An example of a radical change in existing educational platforms. Away from city, Gate Vocational FAB School is relaxing. Invited as a guest speaker, I was introduced to a group of 20 students. Students there; were reverent, full of gentleness, interested and with learning attitude. The hospitality that GATE offered was over-whelming. Not only as a guest speaker but while visiting GATE as a normal guest, the hospitality is over-whelming. I think the students there are clearly reflecting what FAB is. As I flash back and think of GATE Vocational FAB school the thing that reminds me is the scenic beauty, peaceful weather and the warm hospitality offered by the students. Being invited as a YOGA instructor i feel very delighted that students participated so well in my yoga session 🧘‍♂️ and they continued thereafter. Inner wellbeing is very necessary in today's busy and stressful life which is possible only through yoga. Different seminars, workshops conducted by FAB school are beneficial for students in different phases of their life so students must consider themself lucky. Lastly I extremely thanks to the GATE team for warm hospitality and would love to visit soon if i get further opportunity.

I describe Gate Vocational FAB School as a token of paradise on earth. Located in a very silent place right outside the main markets of Pokhara, GATE Vocational is a place with a recreational as well as refreshing environment. And when I am talking about GATE Vocational, I can't forget to mention the food and the hospitality there. Even a normal food has a great GATE Punch. And the feeling of hospitality starts right before you enter the gate of GATE Vocational. The serving techniques, the venue itself triggers the crave to be there time and again. 0n Jan 2020,  I was invited as a Guest Speaker for a day at GATE Vocational FAB school Located at Chorepatan, Pokhara. Every Friday is named as a fantastic Friday there.  I was introduced to the new batch of the school that was recently enrolled. The very first thing I noticed about the school was the hospitality, The hospitality offered by those students cannot be expressed into words. So much serious about their works. Another beautiful thing which catches my eyes was that ,they were so happy with what they were doing. Most of the time, students don't feel happy about what they are doing out of their education but the case was very different there. They seem to be very happy about what they were learning. The implementation of education in practical life was clearly reflected in the way they were working. Apart from this, the environment of the school is quite relaxing. It was a great pleasure to meet such disciplined and motivated circle of people at Fab school, Pokhara. Their warm hospitality was absolutely breathtaking. I feel grateful for allowing me the opportunity to share my experience as a social activist in front of such enthusiastic students. Their energy, discipline, hunger for the knowledge and eagerness to learn amazed me. I often feel as if I learn more than the participants do. The peaceful environment, friendly and kind behavior of the students and the staffs of the school was the thing which fascinated me the most. गेट भोकेसनल फ्याब स्कुल : अनुभव २०७५ सालको गर्मि मौसममा हिमालय प्याभिलियन्स रिसोर्ट नजिकै फुस्रेखोलामा पौडी खेल्न जाँदा बाटोमा सधैंजसो गेट भोकेसनल लेखेको बोर्डमा आँखा परिरहन्थ्यो। बाटोबाट केही दृश्य देखिएता पनि भित्रको वातावरण प्रती पुरै अनभिज्ञ नै थिए ।  २०७६ साल असोज महिनामा गेट भोकेसनलका सोसल अम्बेसेडर आश्विन कार्कीको प्रस्तावमा नेपाल युवा परिषद, गण्डकी प्रदेशको नियमित मासिक बैठक त्यही राख्ने पक्का भयो। बैठक पश्चात् गेट भोकेसनलका महा प्रबन्धक आदरणिय विवेक पौडेल दाइले परिचयात्मक भिडियो देखाएपछी गेटले गरेका कार्यक्रमबाट समाज र व्यक्तिमा आएका परिवर्तनसँग साक्षात्कार भयौं। गेट भोकेसनलले विगत दुई वर्ष देखि निम्नवर्गिय, पुर्व सडक बालबालिका, पढाइ छुटेका १८-२४ उमेर समुहका युवायुवतीलाई छात्रवृत्ति तथा विशेष छुटका साथ होटल व्यवस्थापन सम्बन्धी शिक्षा र सिपमुलक तालिम प्रदान गर्दै आइरहेको छ। तालिम सकिएपछी नेपाल र विदेशका विभिन्न होटलमा विद्यार्थीहरुले अहिले जागिर गर्दै आफ्नो सोच र परिवारको आर्थिकस्तरमा परिवर्तन गर्न सफल भएका छन। गेटमा आउने हरेक अतिथिलाई  सत्कार र खानाका परिकार बनाउने

FAB School always keeps innovation and unique practice in its first priority. Keeping students and faculty engaged with positive energy, Yoga and meditation came up with a very accurate alternative to boost positive energy.  The majority of students at FAB come from a difficult family background which leads to heightened stress levels and can cause distractions to their learning. Some students have also dropped out from school early for a variety of unfortunate reasons. This can lead to gaps in their education and an inability to properly focus. After discovering this we introduced the yoga/meditation session which were generally performed in the morning time. This mandatory class gives them a chance to be in the sun and get some vitamin-D which is proven to be beneficial to mental well-being. For some of the sessions we have invited professional yoga instructors to take the class. The aim of the class is to improve the students’ performance capabilities. We believe

Once a father and son went to the kite flying festival. The young son became very happy seeing the sky filled with colorful kites. He too asked his father to get him a kite and a thread with a roller so he can fly a kite too. So, the father went to the shop at the park where the festival was being held. He purchased kites and a roll of thread for his son. His son started to fly a kite.  Soon, his kite reached high up in the sky.  After a while, the son said, “Father, It seems that the thread is holding up a kite from flying higher, If we break it, It will be free and will go flying even higher.  Can we break it?”  So, the father cut the thread from a roller.  The kite started to go a little higher.  That made a son very happy. But then, slowly,  the kite started to come down. And, soon it fell down on the terrace of the unknown building. The young son was surprised  to see  this. He had cut the kite loose of its thread so it can fly higher, but instead, it fell down. He asked

We have also sought to improve the students’ lives at home. If a student is having problems at home, then it is hard for them to fully participate in the regular program at college. With one batch of students, we had a full-day session where the parents of the students came in for parental training. They were shown techniques on how to empathize  communicate with their child as well as give their general support. If a child does not feel supported, they are unlikely to succeed so the aim of this the session was to instruct parents on how to ensure their child feels supported. Family disputes and difficulties in the home are common amongst the kinds of families our students are from.   However, we wanted to get our message across to the parents that wherever possible they should avoid letting negative experiences at home become a distraction to their child’s education. To keep students from getting bored and losing focus we often introduce games that require students to work on teambuilding skills. Teamwork is in itself an important skill, but the exercise has another benefit. The games give students a break from the direct study of the curriculum but afterward we ask students to relate the game back to their studies in a handwritten report. Students write what sort of ‘lesson’ they learned  from the game/activity that could apply to their studies or their future career. All of these reports are kept so the students can see their writing skills improve as they progress through FAB. While this allows the students to have some fun in-between studying it also has the twofold benefit of improving writing skills and encouraging independent thought.

जुन सुकै दल या संस्था ले  राज गरुन, सानो तर दिर्घकालिन असर् राख्ने, आँफैले गर्न सक्ने काम पनि नगरेर हामी पछी परेका हो कि।  सायद् हामी जनतापनी लघुस्मरण (short memory) को शिकार भए जस्तो लाग्यो। कुन शाशक ले मौका पाएनन? सबै को एकै दशा, राम्रो भन्दा हाम्रो चहिने, हाम्रोलाई शक्ती दुरुपयोग गरी दाम बनाउनु पर्ने, एक थरी बिचौलिया हरेक सरकार को समिप।   अनी दोश जती उनी त राम्रै हुन तर उनका सल्लाह्कार, आसेपासे गतिला भएनन आदी इत्यादी ...।असल नेत्रित्व आँफैले राम्रो नराम्रो, सहि गलत फरक देख्ने, निर्णय लिने, र सानो घेरा बाट उठेर समग्र राष्ट्रको दुरगामी सोच राख्ने, गलत गर्ने प्रती कठोर निर्णय लिन सक्छ।   यो महामारी पछी झन गम्भिरतापुर्बक कार्य सम्पादन नगरे, मुलुक झन ठुलो संकटमा पर्न सक्ने भय हाम्रो मनमा हुन सान्धर्भिक होला। भ्रस्टाचार होलान तर, दोशिलाई संस्थागत रुपमा उन्मुक्ती दिने कारण निराशा देखिनु स्वभाविक हो।   १. सबैलाई थाहा छ बर्तमान असान्धर्विक, परम्परागत शिक्षा ले युवा बेरोजगारी बढ्दै छ, तर त्यस्को बिकल्पमा द्रुतगतिमा ब्यबसायिक तथा प्राबिधिक रोजगारमुलक शिक्षा सर्बसुलभ बनाउने रणनिती र गम्भिरता?
